Update and Green!

Time flies!

In media news. I covered the annual Walker Lake Day yesterday for a local tourism office. The weather finally settled long enough for spectators to enjoy a calm day on the shores of Walker Lake. There were paddle boarders, fisherman, and families learning about the activities as well as the history of the pluvial body of water. The event's organizers allowed the media (i.e. the photogs and journalists) to venture onto the day's first boat tour of the lake. Truthfully, I haven't been on a boat since I was a child! But 25 minutes later, all was well and some of the "nature shots" were incredible. Anyway, if you're in the area next year, you should definitely check it out.

Here's a link to the Nevada Urban Indians. It's a great non-profit, outreach, referral, and community based agency that I had the pleasure of working with. I photographed studio portraits of the 2010 NUI royalty (Miss NUI, Little Miss NUI, and Jr. Miss NUI) as well as made photographs of the health fair and pow wow. I'll keep you updated on when those photographs will be posted online as well. :)

More after the jump...
